Discount Pool didn’t start as a company. It started as one man with a promise — to keep his neighbors' pools clean, clear, and hassle-free. Back in 2004, Kent Sr. had just a brush, a beat-up truck, and a work ethic carved from years of showing up, no matter what.
What he lacked in gear, he made up for in grit. He knew every customer by name. He checked gates to keep pets safe. He texted after storms. And most importantly, he listened — because trust was always the real service he offered.
His son, K.J., was often riding shotgun — more interested in the pool skimmer than cartoons. Over time, clients became family. Birthdays were remembered. Christmas cards were exchanged. And when K.J. took over, he didn’t change the mission. He just brought sharper tools to the same job: showing up, week after week, with the same pride and care his dad taught him.
